‘We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ’ (2 Corinthians 10:5).
I never felt science contradicted the existence of God . Even in evolution a creator’s design is apparent. Science can’t prove God but seems God proves science.
Naturally I reject Darwiniansim and I think that anyone who takes a close objective look at the evidence will come to the conclusion that it is a bankrupt theory built on circular reasoning. Still yet, that might be a topic for later discussion. Science has to actually work hard to not admit the overwhelming amount of design in the universe. How one can think incredibly complex DNA code can arise by dumb random chance is beyond me. I spent 42 years diagnosing dysfuncional and deteriorating systems of things. Never have I seen anything go from high entropy (disorder and disrepair) to low entrophy (order and functionality). Things don’t fix themselves without an outside cause, they don’t go from disorder to complex by themselves and all information comes from an intelligent mind. It has only been in the last 200 years that science had divorced itself from theology ( I discount much of the Roman Catholic nonsense of the middle ages.) Plato, Aristole, Newton and the list goes on of men who detected an order to the universe. I think the intelligent design movement goes back to the beginning.
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Romans 1:18-20 (ESV)
God is in the numbers, math is his language. And music, which is simply math done with tone. Numbers were sacred to Pythagoreans, and religoud textx are replete with mytstical numbers, numbers with meaning: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 12. 40. The number 40 to me is like anything beyond 4 in Watership Down
Yes I think numbers and mathematics are evidence of design in the created universe. The secular world believes all things are explained with material answers, matter and motion, and nothing beyond what can be observed. Still yet numbers are inanimate objects. They exist outside of the material world. The number 5 transcends the material world and dwells in the metaphysical realm. If the number 7 falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it fall, does it make a sound? Think about it…………or maybe don’t.
There’s an old saying “real and imaginary numbers are man’s” — interesting that this sequence is expressed in integers.
